A few weeks ago, Universal Pictures announced Diego Luna would be starring as Tony Montana, for the official Scarface reboot film. This was in follow-up to the company losing Antoine Fuqua as lead director, as they still search for a replacement.
Well, until that’s resolved, Universal has revealed when the reboot project will finally hit theaters. With production set to start this summer, the Scarface remake will hit cinemas August 10, 2018.
It’s still unclear if the 1983 classic will remain in its original time-setting, but I’m weary of seeing Tony Montana using an iPhone 7 plus and Instagram in Los Santos.
Will you be seeing the remake next year?
